Dan Griffiths es un creador teatral, director y docente reconocido, fundador de The Clown Workshop, ClownZero y KAPOOT Clown Theatre. Desde 1988 ha creado e interpretado obras teatrales originales en más de 45 estados y 25 países. Dan ha actuado con la compañía de clown Die Hanswurste, con 500 Clown de Chicago, y a nivel internacional en espectáculos para el departamento de defensa de Los Estados Unidos.
Ha sido parte del cuerpo docente de Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Circus Center – Clown Conservatory de San Francisco, The School for Mime Theatre, Columbia College Chicago, Roosevelt University, Indiana University Northwest y Academy of Art University. Más recientemente, impartió clases de clown en el Wu Qiao International Circus Festival en Shijiazhuang, China.
Ha trabajado como clown hospitalario y formador para The Big Apple Circus, y fue Director de CLOWNZERO, una unidad de clown médico en residencia en el UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Dan ha estudiado con Marcel Marceau, Gregg Goldston, Moni Yakim, David Shiner y Stefan Niedzialkowski. Se formó en The School for Mime Theatre y en The Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre. Posee una Maestría en Artes (M.A.) en Performance Experimental por New College of California y una Maestría en Bellas Artes (M.F.A.) en Arte Interdisciplinario por el California Institute of Integral Studies.

Dan Griffiths is an award winning theater maker, director, teacher, and the founder of The Clown Workshop, ClownZero, and KAPOOT Clown Theatre. He has created and performed original theatrical works in over 45 states and 25 countries since 1988. Dan has performed with the Clown troupe Die Hanswurste, with Chicago’s 500 Clown, and internationally for The Department of Defense Overseas Shows.
Dan has served as faculty for the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Circus Center-Clown Conservatory San Francisco, The School for Mime Theater, Columbia College Chicago, Roosevelt University, Indiana University Northwest and Academy of Art University. Most recently he taught Clowning at The Wu Qiao International Circus Festival in Shijiazhuang, China.
He has worked as a clown doctor and trainer for The Big Apple Circus and served as the Director of CLOWNZERO a Medical Clowning unit in residence at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Dan has studied with Marcel Marceau, Gregg Goldston, Moni Yakim, David Shiner, and Stefan Niedzialkowski. He attended The School for Mime Theatre and The Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theater.
